Send us a little bit of information and we will contact you to answer questions and provide an overview of the program.
The process is really quite simple and begins with generating interest in the program with staff, students and parents to form teams, recruit coaches, judges and volunteers.
- We have resources below and on our Coordinators Page to help you reach out to kids and parents about the program.
- Colorado Odyssey volunteers are also available to conduct Information Sessions with parents and students interested in the program.
Once a school has interest, then it is time to purchase a National Membership with Odyssey of the Mind.
- The cost is $135 and allows the school to field up to one team per competitive problem per division and 2 primary teams (K-2).
- Teams compete by division which is determined by the oldest team member.
Division I — Grades K-5
Division II — Grades 6-8
Division III — Grades 9-12
Division IV — Collegiate
After your teams are starting to form, it is time for your coaches to register and attend Coaches Training. You don’t need a national membership yet and it is more important for your coaches to gain the basics.
For teams to participate at their Regional Tournament, the fee is only $75 per Div I-III team and $50 per primary team for tournament registration. This includes the State Tournament fee if the team becomes eligible to advance.
Teams are required to provide one judge and one volunteer as part of their tournament registration. There are no fees to attend coaches training, judges training or tournaments.
